Sodium Formate is used in several Fabric Dyeing and Printing Processes. It is also used as a buffering agent for strong mineral acids to increase their pH, as a food additive (E237), and as a de-icing agent.
Sodium Formate is a white crystalline material. It is used in the production of sodium hydrosulphite/dithionite, a bleching agent for pulp and paper.

Sodium formate is also used in leather tanning, printing processes, as a food additive, and as an enzyme stabilizer in detergents.
