Polyamines are organic compounds having two or more amino groups (–NH₂). These are positively charged at physiological pH and play important roles in biological, chemical, and industrial processes.
Polyamines are used as chemical intermediates or functional additives in several industries:
Water Treatment: Used as coagulants/flocculants in treating wastewater.
Epoxy Curing Agents: Act as hardeners in epoxy resins (especially in paints, adhesives, and coatings).
Corrosion Inhibitors: Prevent rust in industrial systems.
Oil & Gas: Used in drilling fluids and refining processes.
Paper Industry: Help with wet strength and retention in papermaking.
