Product Description

Dichloromethane is used as solvent in liquid-liquid extraction because caffeine has higher solubility in Dichloromethane as compared to other solvents. After separation of organic layer from the separating funnel it is then kept for evaporationso as to evaporate the dichloromethane present in it.
The major use of dichloromethane is as a solvent in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry for chemical reactions, purification and isolation of intermediates or products.

Product Dose

Dichloromethane (DCM or methylene chloride) is an organochloride compound with the formula CH2Cl2. This colorless, volatile liquid with a chloroform-like, sweet odour is widely used as a solvent. Although it is not miscible with water, it is polar, and miscible with many organic solvents.[11]
