Product Description

Bromophenol blue indicator AR is used as a pH indicator, 
an electrophoretic color marker, and a dye. 
It can be prepared by slowly adding excess bromine to a hot solution of phenolsulfonphthalein in glacial acetic acid.

Product Application

BROMOPHENOL BLUE INDICATOR AR used as a laboratory indicator, changing from yellow below pH 3 to purple at pH and as a size marker for monitoring the progress of agarose gel and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.

Product Dose

tetrabromophenolsulfonphthalein, BPB, albutest) is used as a pH indicator, an electrophoretic color marker, and a dye. It can be prepared by slowly adding excess bromine to a hot solution of phenolsulfonphthalein in glacial acetic acid

Product Note

dyes with negative charge are bromophenol blue, orange G and xylene cyanol.  The comb would be
 placed near the end of the gel since DNA has a negative charge and will migrate towards the positive electrode only.
