Remarks:

Ammonium bifluoride is a white crystal salt chemically when ammonium bifluoride comes in contact with water resulting with the formation of HF.  It is used to brighten aluminum and other metals.

Difference between HF and ABF uses.

HF 70% acid Handling is very dificult also makes hole in glove finger tips. While ABF never had a burn with solid ABF, however avoid to use by bare hands. Medium Cloud Point Glycol  RXSOL MCPG  is a broad cloud-point, wide molecular weight range, additive designed for medium-to-high salinity polyglycol systems. It can provide improved shale stability, lubricity, high-temperature filtration control, plus reduce dilution rates and bit balling.RXSOL MCPG is recommended for freshwater to seawater polyglycol systems. While polyglycols are most effective when used in conjunction with an inhibitive salt in non-dispersed polymer systems, they can be used as additives in most water-base systems.It is a free flowing liquid,without dirt and other visible foreign suspended matter and has a mild odour. It is primarily used in KCL and PHPA muds.

To Etch  Glass use 1 Kilo ammonium bifluoride and 2 liters sulfuric acid in  3 gallons water bath.
