In electric submerged-arc furnaces Silico-manganese is chemically manufactured by silico-thermic reduction, using manganese ores and/or slags from the production of ferro-manganese. Silicon Manganese is an alloy of manganese, silicon and iron. It is a cost- effective blend of manganese and silicon for the steel manufacturer. Silico Manganese also consumed in all steel products and used in higher quantities in 200 series stainless steel, alloy steel and manganese steel.

Difference between ferro manganese and silico manganese?
 
Ferro manganese is a  alloy of manganese containing manganese and iron with some amount of carbon, While silico manganese contains silicon and manganese along with some amount of carbon.
