Product Description

It is often encountered as the heptahydrate sulfate mineral epsomite MgSO4·7H2O, commonly called Epsom salt. The small colorless crystalline powder is used as an anticonvulsant, a cathartic, and an electrolyte replenisher in the treatment of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia.

Product Application

Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is a hydrate that is the heptahydrate form of magnesium sulfate. It has a role as a laxative and a cathartic. It is a magnesium salt and a hydrate. It contains a magnesium sulfate.

Product Dose

Magnesium sulfate is used to prepare specific cements by the reaction between magnesium oxide and magnesium sulfate solution, which are of good binding ability and more resistance than Portland cement. This cement is mainly adopted in the production of lightweight insulation panels. Weakness in water resistance limits its usage.

This product is considered hazardous under 29 CFR 1910.1200 (Hazard Communication). Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate is an odorless, colorless to white solid in crystalline form. Contact may cause irritation to eye, skin, and respiratory system.
