Isopropyl alcohol (2-propanol), also known as isopropanol or IPA, is the most common and widely used disinfectant within pharmaceutics, hospitals, cleanrooms, and electronics or medical device manufacturing.
Topical medicine is for use only on the skin. Do not use isopropyl alcohol on open wounds or on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, or irritated skin.
ISO-PROPYL ALCOHOL LR IPA
Isopropyl alcohol is also commonly called “rubbing alcohol.” Its molecular structure contains one more carbon and two more hydrogen molecules than ethyl alcohol. Its formula is written as C3H7OH.
