APPLICATION : used for the determination of the pH of a solution or to detect changes in pH during acid-alkali titration's. The colour of the indicator changes with the pH of the solution. They are normally sold as "Full range indicator" or "Universal indicator"

A universal indicator paper is a compound solution or a mixture transfused with a number of pH indicators to detect alkalinity or acidity of various solutions.
