Dosage

Hydrated lime also called as Calcium hydroxide and slaked lime. It  is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ca(OH)2. It is a white powder and is produced when quicklime (calcium oxide) is mixed or slaked with water. It has many names including hydrated lime, caustic lime, builders’ lime, slack lime,  and pickling lime.

Notes

  • Hydrated Lime is manufactured for the stabilisation of road surfaces.
  • Hydrated Lime can also be used as a filler in asphalt to improve resistance to high temperature rutting.
  • Hydrated Lime used in the water treatment industry for softening, pH adjustment/ coagulation and removal of impurities.
  • Hydrated Lime can also be used to remove acidic gases that are harmful to the environment particularly sulphur dioxide and hydrogen chloride from flue gas.
  • Hydrated Lime is used in flue gas treatment (for the control of SO2 and S03 emissions),
  • Hydrated Lime used as acid neutralization.
  • Hydrated Lime Used in construction and other environmental applications.
  • Hydrated Lime adjusts acidity of wastewater and used as a chemical in mineral dressing process.

Quality Control :

All RXSOL products are factory blended, tested and packaged to quality control procedures in accordance with  ISO 9001.

Packaging And Storage :  

Hydrated Lime is available in nominal 25kg sacks, palletised and shrink wrapped. Hydrated Lime may also be available in Intermediate Bulk Containers or in Bulk Powder Tankers. Palletised Hydrated Lime should be stored in cool dry areas clear of the ground, sheeted or under cover and stacked not more than two pallets high. The product should be used on a first in – first out basis.

Health & Safety :

Health and safety advice, which must be followed, can be found on the Material Safety Data Sheet. Users are advised to wear face mask, goggles, gloves and overalls when handling, mixing and applying cementitious products.
