Dioctyl Adipate (DOA) is an organic compound. It is a colorless, odorless, transparent oily liquid that is most often used as a PVC plasticizer. Though DOA does not require special handling, always follow the best practices for industrial hygiene and safety. This includes wearing protective equipment, avoiding contact with the eyes and avoiding skin contact. Also work in a well-ventilated area to avoid breathing in vapors.

Dioctyl adipate is an effective plasticizer that provides the utmost flexibility and stability at low temperatures. In its solid state, the organic compound is a clear liquid that can be easily added to other plasticizers such as DOP and DOTP. It’s also compatible with nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, high-butyryl cellulose acetate butyrates and most synthetic rubbers.
