Calcium Nitrate 32% Solution is a clear, water-soluble liquid containing approximately 32% w/w calcium nitrate [Ca(NO₃)₂]. It provides readily available calcium and nitrate ions and is designed for industrial, water-treatment, wastewater-treatment and process applications requiring a convenient liquid source of calcium nitrate.
The liquid form provides advantages over solid calcium nitrate where accurate dosing, continuous injection, rapid mixing and automated chemical-feed systems are required.
Calcium Nitrate 32% Solution is particularly useful in wastewater and sewage treatment, where nitrate can be used in appropriate treatment programs to help control anaerobic conditions and associated hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) generation and odour problems.

In wastewater systems, prolonged anaerobic conditions can encourage sulfate-reducing bacteria to generate hydrogen sulphide. Calcium nitrate solution can be dosed as part of a properly designed nitrate-treatment program to help maintain conditions that suppress sulfide formation.
Typical applications include sewer networks, wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, holding systems and industrial effluent systems.
Dosage should be determined from wastewater characteristics, retention time, sulfide loading, temperature and the desired treatment objective rather than using a universal fixed dosage.
Store in a clean, compatible, tightly closed container in a cool and ventilated location. Protect against contamination and incompatible materials. Suitable chemical-resistant pumps, pipelines and dosing equipment should be selected for bulk handling.
