Chromic Sulfate is a peach-colored, odorless powder. It is used in green paints, inks and textile dyes, ceramics, the tanning of leather, chrome plating, and the photographic industry.
Chromium(III) sulfate hydrate is widely used in making chrome tanned leather, paints, inks and ceramics. It is also used in preparation of chromium metal, dye, in printing and dyeing industry. It is involved in the preparation of chrome catalyst.
The oral lethal dose in humans has been estimated to be 1-3 g .

Hygroscopic, moisture sensitive. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and water.
