Product description

BIOCIDE Bromocide 7615 is a stabilized liquid oxidizing microbiocide specifically designed for effective microbial control in industrial water treatment systems.

Unlike conventional chlorine-based disinfectants, which rapidly lose efficacy at alkaline pH, this bromine-based formulation maintains strong biocidal activity even at pH values up to 9, making it ideal for use in cooling systems, seawater applications, and processes where alkaline conditions are prevalent.

When dosed into water, the product hydrolyzes to form a fast-acting, broad-spectrum biocide. BIOCIDE BROMOCIDE exhibits superior penetration into microbial slime layers and biofilms compared to chlorine, ensuring rapid disinfection and long-lasting control of bacteria, algae, fungi, and biofilm-forming organisms.

The stabilized alkaline formulation prevents premature decomposition, ensuring safe storage and consistent performance during application. The inclusion of buffering agents minimizes product degradation and enhances shelf-life.

Because bromine chemistry produces fewer halogenated by-products (THMs, HAAs) compared to chlorine, this product also provides an environmentally preferable option for industries seeking compliance with stringent discharge regulations.

Boiler Water Treatment Chemicals – Broad Classification

Boiler water treatment chemicals are broadly classified into the following categories, based on their function and the type of boiler system. A liquid boiler water treatment chemical product specialized and formulated with alkaline compounds, scale inhibitor, dispersant, volatile amines and many more.

1. Oxygen Scavengers : RXSOL Oxygen Scavengers: React with dissolved oxygen to prevent corrosion.

  • Prevent corrosion caused by dissolved oxygen in feedwater

  • Examples: Sodium sulfite, DEHA (Diethylhydroxylamine), Hydrazine, Carbohydrazide

  • Continuous feed: Maintain 0.2 – 0.6 ppm free residual bromine.
  • Shock dosing: 0.8 – 1.5 ppm as Br₂ for heavy contamination.
  • Dose directly to system water (side stream or basin).

  • Remains effective in alkaline waters where chlorine loses activity.
