Ziehl-Neelsen carbolfuchsin solution - for microscopy, is a ready-to use solution used in the Ziehl-Neelsen hot staining for the microscopic investigation of acid-fast bacteria(AFB).

Used for examination and identification of Mycobacterium species.
Used to differentiate between acid-fast and non-acid fast bacilli

Product Note

0.5% Acid alcohol or 5% Sulphuric acid is used for Atypical AFB because they (eg. Mycobacterium leprae, Nocardia asteroides) are much less acid and alcohol fast than Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacilli.
