RO Antiscalant 2020 Rx is a high performance non hazardous reverse osmosis (RO) antiscalant and dispersant, scientifically formulated for the treatment and protection of reverse osmosis membranes under high silica feed water conditions.A proprietary blend, RO Antiscalant 2020 Rx has been specifically designed for ro membrane systems with high silica feed-waters.

RO Antiscalant 2020 Rx  is a proven high performance scale inhibitor against calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate scalants and combats silica fouling by a combination of anti-precipitation, anti-agglomeration and dispersancy processes.RO Antiscalant 2020 Rx  is compatible with a wide range of materials and unlike other antiscalants, is not deactivated in the presence of iron.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
 

Injecting : Best results are achieved when RO Antiscalant 2020 High Silica Inhibitionis injected downstream of multimedia filters and upstream of cartridge filters.

Dosing : 

A typical RO Antiscalant 2020 High Silica Inhibition dose ranges from 2-5 mg/l. A site-specific dose can be determined using the Avista Advisor software program.

Dilution : 

RO Antiscalant 2020 High Silica Inhibition is formulated to be injected neat. However, if dilution is required, use deionized water or RO permeate. If neither of these is available, softened water may be substituted. The dilution for RO Antiscalant 2020 High Silica Inhibition should not result in a solution strength of less than 10%. This guideline will protect the effectiveness of the internal bacteriostat, which inhibits bacterial growth in the product packaging and feed tank.

  • Use RO permeate for dilution.
  • Prepare a fresh antiscalant solution every 2-3 days.
  • Inspect the antiscalant day-tank before adding the new solution. If needed, the antiscalant tank should be cleaned prior to filling.
  • Dilution rates up to a factor 10 can be applied.
