Applications
1. Industrial Wastewater Treatment
RXSOL PAM Emulsion is used for the treatment of industrial wastewater containing suspended and colloidal solids. It promotes rapid particle agglomeration and improves clarification efficiency.
Suitable industries include:
2. Municipal Sewage Treatment
The product can be used as a polymer flocculant in municipal sewage-treatment plants to improve:
3. Sludge Dewatering
RXSOL PAM Emulsion assists in forming strong flocs that release entrained water more effectively.
It can be used with:
Correct polymer selection and dosage can improve cake formation, filtrate clarity and overall dewatering efficiency.
4. Paper & Pulp Industry
RXSOL PAM Emulsion can be used in suitable paper-manufacturing applications as a retention and drainage aid and for treatment of paper-mill wastewater.
It can assist with retention of fine particles and improve solid-liquid separation within appropriate paper-processing systems.
5. Textile & Dyeing Wastewater
Textile and dyeing effluents frequently contain fine suspended material and difficult-to-settle contaminants.
RXSOL PAM Emulsion can be incorporated into coagulation/flocculation treatment programs to improve floc formation, sedimentation and suspended-solids removal.
6. Coal Washing & Mineral Processing
The product can be used to promote rapid settling of suspended mineral and coal particles.
Typical applications include:
7. Oilfield & Drilling Applications
RXSOL PAM Emulsion can be used in selected oilfield, drilling and produced-water treatment applications where efficient flocculation and separation of suspended solids are required.
The appropriate ionic grade should be selected according to the water chemistry and treatment objective.
Recommended Preparation
RXSOL PAM Emulsion should be properly inverted and diluted with clean water before dosing.
Introduce the required quantity of product gradually into the dilution water under controlled agitation. Provide sufficient mixing to ensure complete polymer activation.
Depending on water quality, temperature, polymer concentration and mixing conditions, the product normally develops within approximately 5–15 minutes.
Excessively aggressive or prolonged high-shear mixing after polymer activation should be avoided because it can reduce polymer-chain effectiveness.
Dosage
The optimum dosage varies considerably according to:
-
Type and concentration of suspended solids
-
Wastewater characteristics
-
pH
-
Temperature
-
Existing coagulant program
-
Required treated-water quality
-
Sludge characteristics
-
Dewatering equipment
Laboratory jar testing or field trials should be performed to establish the most economical dosage and correct PAM grade.
The product can be used alone or as a flocculant following inorganic coagulants such as PAC, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, Ferric Chloride or Aluminium Sulphate, where appropriate.
Advantages of Emulsion PAM
The principal advantage of RXSOL PAM Emulsion over conventional dry polymer is its rapid preparation and activation.
Dry PAM normally requires careful powder feeding and comparatively long hydration/maturation periods. Emulsion PAM can be activated considerably faster, allowing simpler preparation and more responsive dosing.
This makes RXSOL-40-4160-210 particularly suitable for facilities requiring:
-
Continuous polymer dosing
-
Rapid polymer preparation
-
Compact dosing systems
-
Automatic chemical-feed systems
-
High-throughput wastewater treatment
Handling & Storage
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes and use appropriate personal protective equipment during handling.
Polyacrylamide solutions and spilled emulsions can make floors extremely slippery. Any spill should therefore be contained and cleaned promptly using an appropriate procedure.
Store the product in its original tightly closed container in a cool, dry location, preferably within approximately 5–30°C, and protect from excessive heat, freezing and prolonged direct sunlight.
Refer to the current RXSOL Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) for complete handling, storage and safety information.
Packing
Standard Industrial Packing: 210 Kg Drum
Other packing options may be offered according to commercial requirements.
The 30–40% solids range above is aligned with the higher-solids grades on your reference page; the source lists PAM grades at 20%, 30% and 40% solids, pH ranges of roughly 4–8, and 5–10 minute dissolution. If RXSOL-40-4160-210 is specifically your 40% active grade, I would tighten the specification to Solid Content: 40 ± 2% rather than leaving it at 30–40%.
