Product Application

HEPES has been used as a component of:

  • Hank′s balanced salt solution, Dulbecco′s modified eagle′s medium and no-glucose DMEM, which are used for the preparation of tissue slices
  • Buffers used in localized conductance measurements on the basolateral side of culture inserts to examine cation selectivity.

Product Dose

The recommended dosage is 70 mg/m2 irinotecan (4.3 mg/ml) resulting in an average male (1.9 m2) receiving a total amount of 133 mg of the drug and 126 mg of HEPES. This amount of administered HEPES is much higher than the recommended 200 μg per dose for gallium-68 based radiopharmaceuticals
